Where it all started...

Welcome to Animaltastic Hemel Hempstead! In 2010, we took over this site in order to build the business in which stands here today. Our plan was to build an ethical, small, friendly pet store with a wealth of knowledge and advice on hand. We feel that we have not disappointed. 


On the shop floor, you will find a wide range of petcare products and thousands of product lines. During your visit, you will find everything you need for all your pets. If not, our friendly staff will do their best to order any product that any of our stockists hold to fit your needs. With our frequent orders, you will never have to wait too long to get what you need. 


We stock a wide variety of dry pet foods for all ranges of pets. Our own brand dog food is extremely popular with a huge number of our customer's pets and come in a range of flavours and lifestages, Our prices ensure you never pay more than you need to for premium pet food. 

 

 

Our animal room is a hive of activity with all of our furry and feathered friends. Here you will find a wide slection of small animals including mice, hamsters, gerbils, rats, guinea pigs and rabbits. Our staff are always on hand to ensure that you get the best advice for all your pet needs. They are also more than happy to discuss what you are looking for in a new pet to help with your selection and research. 


We also stock a wide variety of companion and aviary birds in store. These will range from canaries, finches and a wide variety of parakeets such as budgies, cockatiels and kakarikis. We can go through their exact requirements with you and ensure you understand the commitment of any bird before inviting one into your family. 


Our hay, straw and shavings bays are filled to the brim with the best quality products at the lowest possible price. Stock up from here to make sure all your furry pets have the best quality nesting materials and feeding hay at unbelieveable prices. Buy in bulk to save even more!  

Our reptile and aquatic areas have everything for your more specialist pets. We have a wide range of products from substrates, cage decor, heating, lighting, filteration and food. Our staff are always on hand to answer any of your specialist questions and ensure that your set up is correct for the pets you have. 


Our fish selection is constantly changing to ensure that you can always find new species for your community tank. Our fish supplier only provide's the best quality fish to ensure that they thrive within your aquarium, let us help you set up your tank and ensure conditions suit the fish you aim to keep. 


In our reptile corner you'll find our favourite scaly companions. These specialist species will all have their own requirements, and our staff are fully trained to be able to talk these through with you.
